My life in a nutshell

Mark Twain said:

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.

Born in the heart of the "Ruhrpott" in Bochum, I grew up just on the north - western tip of the most diverse area in Europe. My wonderful open minded and trusting parents and the region shaped my view on the world, never judging by color, status or looks but by behavior, respect and words chosen.

At 17 I left my home town for the first time to live in the USA for 1 year. I got to know the

Midwest, in particular Minnesota during the Clinton era. Wonderful people that I still call family and friends until today have welcomed me into their lives.

Denying military service and choosing civil service to serve the community rather than playing with guns, I left my home town for good to live in Cologne after graduation from the "Gymnasium Petrinum Dorsten" in 1998. 12 unbelievable years this city has shaped and influenced my life. From meeting my wife to opening my first business, working and staring at TV productions, loosing and winning in the business life.

2010 I moved my center of life to France completely and this is where I am today. Starting with teaching people how to surf, being the KIKA Surf-coach on KIKA Television and choosing a career at NIXON in October 2010 that lead to a global role at NIXON and adidas watches until June 2020.

Seeking challenges, not afraid of the new nor difficulties in live and staying to true to my friends and family, this is me and what you can expect. What is next? Let's see and write the story together.

Nice to meet you,

My name is Max.
